Cinnamon Butter Elixir + Turmeric Kick Elixir

You all know how much I LOVE a good elixir, right? If not, may I direct you to this blog post of mine which goes over alll things elixir-related and my ‘must-have’ items. Elixirs are great because you can create a nice, hot one for a chilly day or an iced one for those scorcher days. Whichever way you choose, they usually end up tasting pretty damn delicious.

A little while ago, I received a tin of turmeric golden mylk powder and a tin of reishi hot chocolate powder from one of my favorite brands, Botanica. I was BEYOND excited to create with these! Like, I had zero chill when I opened up the box in instagram stories #soexcited.

Botanica is one of my go-to brands because of their quality AND customer service. I started using their products years ago when I started working at a health food store and have been hooked ever since.
PS if you are ever looking for a good maca supplement, these guys have a great one. I switched over to theirs a few months back and I really noticed a difference myself. Oh, and their adrenal support is also great.

BUT, that’s not why I wrote this blog post. I am writing this to introduce TWO new elixirs into your life. They are delicious, creamy and nourishing.

Cinnamon Butter Boost

2 cups hot water
2 tsp reishi hot chocolate powder
1 tbsp coconut butter
1 chunk cacao butter (I buy mine from a health store, you don’t need much)
1 tsp honey
1 scoop collagen powder (optional)
1/4 tsp cinnamon powder
1-2 pinches sea salt

Directions
Blend all ingredients together until frothy and creamy. I sprinkled some beet powder on top (see pic above) but you can also sprinkle cinnamon powder on it.

Turmeric Kick

2 cups hot water
2 tsp turmeric golden mylk powder
2 tbsp hemp hearts
A bit of honey
1 scoop collagen
1-2 pinches of sea salt

Directions
Blend all ingredients together until frothy and creamy.

I love adding cinnamon to some of my drinks, well actually, most of them. It’s blood sugar balancing, anti-inflammatory, helps protect your heart and is a natural sweetener. Turmeric is another favorite of mine. It’s also anti-inflammatory, brain-supportive and can also help your body deal with stress. YAY!

With elixirs, a lot of the extra add-in ingredients are totally optional. I like to add hemp hearts, for an extra protein kick, coconut butter and collagen. You can mix it up with super foods and for the most part, it usually turns out pretty tasty!

Let me know if you try these elixirs out!
