Creamy Cardamom Elixir

Is there anything better than curling up on the couch with a fuzzy blanket and a delicious elixir?
Seriously though, warm elixirs are my favorite on cold winter nights.  So comforting & relaxing.

This cardamom elixir is the perfect addition to part one of my 5-part women’s series. Since the first part is alllll about the lovely PMS, this hot bevvy makes the cut. It has all of my favorite ingredients: cardamom, MCT oil, ashwagandha powder, pure honey, and creamy cashew milk (bonus: if you make your own nut mylk, you can get waayy more nutrients!).

Let’s go over a few incredible health benefits for some of these superfoods, shall we?

Ashwagandha: I mentioned this one in my previous post about adaptogens (you can read it here). Ashwagandha is nourishing for the adrenals and thyroid. Think stress & mood support (hell yes).

MCT oil: I almost always use this oil in most of my elixirs & bulletproof-style drinks to super-charge them up. This is a great source of healthy fats that are super beneficial for brain function. I usually buy either the New Roots MCT oil or the Bulletproof XCT oil. Some people buy the BrainOctane but since I like to watch how much I spend on supplements, I usually use the XCT. Still an amazing oil and very similar to BrainOctane. When I add this to my hot drinks, I find my focus and concentration are great. If you are into starting your day with a bulletproof coffee, this oil is usually added to that.

Cardamom powder: This can be used to help combat bloating, gas, constipation, nausea and much more. It’s sometimes used to freshen breath and it also helps detoxify your body by cleansing the kidneys and urinary tract.
